Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news with WPDE-TV. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response to DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was honored by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. Alongside her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of Pre-ShowArrivals programs for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. The host of the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
